Encode / Decode

Encode and decode Base64 and URL percent-encoding, with Unicode handled correctly in both directions. A swap button moves the output back into the input.

Frequently asked questions

Does Base64 handle emoji?
Yes. The tool encodes UTF-8 bytes rather than raw characters, so Unicode round-trips safely.
Is the output safe to paste in a URL?
Use the URL option for that; plain Base64 can contain + and /.
