Privacy
heyutil is local-first. It has no accounts, no cookies for advertising and no server that sees your inputs. This page lists the exact exceptions.
Stays in your browser
- Every number, document and block of text you type into a tool.
- Your favourites, recent tools and the last inputs you used, stored in your browser's
localStorage. - All calculations — they run as JavaScript on your device.
- QR codes — generated locally with a bundled encoder; the text never leaves your browser.
Clearing your browser's site data removes everything listed above. Nothing needs to be requested from us.
Contacts a service
- Currency — fetches rates from this site's own
/currencyendpoint, which requests a public rate table. Your amount is never sent, only the rate table is fetched. - Translation — sends the text you paste to
api.mymemory.translated.net. This is the one tool where your content leaves the browser; do not paste anything sensitive. - Web fonts — Google Fonts is loaded for typography, which reveals your IP address to Google as with any CDN.
Not used
- No advertising, no tracking pixels, no cross-site cookies.
- No analytics unless a Cloudflare Web Analytics token is configured at build time; it is cookieless and aggregate when enabled.
